In December 2016, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries completed construction of the world’s largest CO2 capture facility on a coal-fired power plant, the Petra Nova Project, just 30 miles southwest of Houston. Captured CO2 from that facility is used for enhanced oil recovery at the West Ranch Oil Field in TX.
