Where there is no vision, there is no hope.- George Washington Carver
Welcome to my site! Becoming the 17th Mayor of Glenarden, Maryland has been an honor and a wonderful achievement for me! Glenarden is rich with Maryland history and carries the glory of being one of the first three Cities of African-American origin incorporated by the State General Assembly. Glenarden was incorporated in 1939. Having grown up as a child in the deep south during the time of segregation and the first US Government enforced integration of children in the school systems of Georgia, I know how important it is to continue the legacy of our parents and grandparents who payed their dues to get us where we are today.
During these trying times in America, I hope to preserve that legacy and protect the older and newer citizens and residents of Glenarden from the injustice that has found its way back into our daily way of life. Our community is a unique community, and we shall prevail and make Glenarden the focal point of central Prince George’s County and Mid-Eastern Maryland. Stand by me, believe in me and we can do this together.
